Rick Kooijman music

 

Thank you for visiting our website! We would like to share our story of how we build this music composing company.

 

In 2013 Rick Kooijman Music started as a music school! Meanwhile Rick was studying at the conservatory in Utrecht, The Netherlands. But as many of his musical colleagues, sticking to one job is never the case. A friend of him asked Rick to compose music for his documentary. That was the moment this company really started. Beside his job as a music teacher, he loved to worked on other projects as a songwriter, composer for string quartets, guitarist, lead vocalist or as studio musician.

 

A special offer came in 2019 to live abroad in Copenhagen for half a year, providing an opportunity to invest his time 100% in music composing. This was a great step for Rick Kooijman Music. Like every new thing, you have to put all your passion in it. In three months we had finished 5 projects and had a premiere at the Dutch National Television (NPO1) with our music.

The Copenhagen experience gave us a great international network of filmmakers located in The Netherlands, Belgium, England, United States and Denmark. All these experiences made him the composer who he is today: involved, professional, understanding and ambitious.

Your project

When you are creating a product, you have something in mind. Especially when you're working with video, you have emotions that you would like to catch. We approach every project the same way; which emotion would you like to show Emotions can be divided into eight different categories. These emotions are the foundations of what we feel when we see a piece or art, listen to music, watch a movie, ride a bike, etc.

 

Rick Kooijman Music understands the importance of these emotions for your project. It needs to lift your video, it needs to enhance your message and it needs to touch your target audience.
